Is AI Max finding new customers, or re-buying queries you already had?
Upload a search terms report. In a few seconds you get AI Max side by side with your match types, and a clear split of the queries AI Max found that your keywords never reached.
- AI Max vs Exact, Phrase and Broad: spend, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate
- New searches vs searches you already cover, with performance for each
- Download as Excel, or save a branded PDF to share
Your report never leaves your browser. The file is read on your computer and never uploaded. We only ask for your name, company and email, once.
How to download the report (about a minute)
- Open Search terms. In Google Ads, go to Campaigns → Insights and reports → Search terms, with all campaigns selected.
- Pick a long date range. The last 6 to 12 months. More history means a more honest answer about what is new.
- Check two columns. Click Columns and make sure Conv. value and Source are ticked. Everything else is there by default.
- Download. Click the download icon and pick .csv or Excel .csv, then drop the file here as it is.
Extra columns are fine. Anything we do not use is ignored, in any order. If something we need is missing, we will tell you exactly what to add. Optional: Segment → Time → Month adds a month-by-month chart.

About this data
AI Max
A search term counts as AI Max when Google labels its Match type as AI Max. The Source column splits it into expanded matches and landing page matches.
New searches
A search is new when only AI Max showed ads for it: none of your keywords matched it, it was not itself a keyword, and (unless you choose "Only my keywords") Performance Max and Shopping did not show for it either. With a Month segment, a search AI Max found first and you added as a keyword later still counts as new.
Already-covered searches
Everything else: searches your account was already getting through Exact, Phrase, Broad, Performance Max or Shopping, that AI Max also matched. Shopping and Performance Max are recognised by their campaign type, not their match type.
The answer is only as long as your history. A search your keywords last matched two years ago looks new in a twelve month file. Google also rolls low-volume searches into "Other search terms", which no report can name.
